A load off the shoulders.
Hung the show at the Railroad Museum in St. Paul today, with the help of three absolutely lovely people (two fellow artists and a organizer for the museum.) It took almost 5 hours, and 'm tired as a dog.
Off to paint some more!

Now for something more light-hearted.
Dear Tilly, the source of awesome muffins. Spent an afternoon drawing a couple of strips. Switching to digital would likely cut down the process from 3 hours to less than 2 per strip, but something tells me that this would completely defeat the point.

Fish and Beer #2
Promised the local homebrew club (which El and I are part of) that there'll be a beer-related piece in the St. Paul show. Incidentally, our hop vine has finally reached the second floor window. So here's a thing in progress to commemorate that.
The photo does not do the iridescence on this one justice. It also does not express the full depth of hatred that 'm feeling for this particular piece right now. So..tired..of staring..at ... it... and it still..needs..more...tweaking.. (12x24, acrylic on board.)

Fish and beer
Did another label for Studio Brew.. The words are all their, the shiny little thing in lower-right is mine.
And a fish from a piece in progress. The piece is Thief of Bait-fish, and features a snake. Need to finish this one and one other by the 28th of May. God, I love running on coffee and adrenaline.

Wrenliness #10
Setting up a solo show next week, so things are going to be crazy until that's over and done with. Also switching to manual lettering on the comic, which will get better in the next few panels.

Two smalls, one large
Relaxations are basically little geometric pieces that I've been doing inbetween larger things. I wouldn't call them meditations because, at the end of each, 've yet to solve any serious personal problems. ;)

Finally done with the detailing on Cradle of Life. (~12x24, acrylic on board) If I had to pick a personal favorite from this years' works, this would be it.
2 more 12x24s that 'm currently working on. Fishes and Northern water snake...

Interestingly enough, 'm getting plenty of stuff done outside this nonsense.. just haven't felt the need to post it yet. ;D
