Landscape'n'More Peaches.

A view from grandparents-in-law's place near Richmond.  9x12, acrylic on board. Really need more practice; the particular view was from a photo shot early in the morning, in partial fog.

Relaxation #11 (with peaches) 4.5x7.5 inches, acrylic on board.

Maybe-place.

Fingers still crossed.

Pepper study

4.5x7 incher from this morning (about an hour's worth of work.). The more I paint, the more I realize that I've no idea what I am doing.

And a little H.P. Lovecraft dedication in progress.

More apples and Wrens.

A pair of 4x6s from today. (~20 minutes each). There's something very satisfying about doing these smaller panels.
And update on the Fairy Wrens.Still a lot of tonal issues to resolve.

Cornflowers

A pair of 5x5 inchers from today. Haven't painted cornflowers since the long-ago stint at the farmers' market in Abingdon, and it's kind of amusing to see the difference. The cornflowers below were done in August of 2012; those long panels have long since been sold.

The matter of presentation.

18x24 in progress. There's so many tonal things wrong with this guy right now, it's not even funny.

Origin of Dragons

The Origin of Dragons (Thief of Wings),12x16 inches, acrylic on board.

It only took several months to get around to realizing that the peonies in this painting were not drawn as double-flowers, but as singles.

5x5 inches, acrylic on board. Last bird'n'flower motif for a while.

Relaxation #10

9x12, acrylic on board.
Wanted to do something light-hearted with theme of swallow tails. (Both of swallows and butterflies)
